Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi doc great day, i just got my result on my chest x-ray pa and here is the findings, SUSPICIOUS FIBROID DENSITIES IN THE LEFT UPPER LUNG INTACT COSTOPHRENIC ANGLES, HEART IS NOT ENLARGE. THRACHEA AT MIDLINE. OTHER CHEST STRUCTURES ARE NORMAL IMPRESSION: SUGGEST APICOLORDOTIC VIEW TO R/O TB im worried about this result, what it means and how serious it is?
Hi, the x ray findings indicate some fibrous changes in left upper lung field. however the other areas of chest are unremarkable. this change might be a sign of old tuberculous infection or might be some recent infectious event. Important question to be considered here is are you having any recent onset of night sweats, cough or fever or weight loss problems. IF yes, you should consult a doctor and get more tests done like sputum examination. Also i can understand your worry, but remember once the doctor knows what is wrong with you then only he can treat you appropriately and TB has a wonderful treatment option these days and most people get cured with certain antibiotics taken for 6 months. Do let me know if you have any more question for me.
