What Does This USD Scan Report Indicate?

I have undergone USD scan yesterday in my abdomen and in the report it shows that right ovary measures 10.5 cc and left ovary measures 8.2 cc in volume. Both ovaries are bulky and show multiple subcentimetric sized peripheral placed follicles with central echogenic stroma. No free fluid is seen in POD.

Radiologist 's  Response
Hello

Though right ovary is borderline enlarged with normal size of left ovary, your findings may suggest PCOD(poly cystic ovarian disease).
PCOD is indicated by increased ovarian size, increased stromal echogenesity, multiple small cysts arranged in periphery.
You may need further evaluation.PCOD should be confirmed by clinical correlation, biochemical confirmation and USG correlation.
Most of the cases of PCOD are managed conservatively.I suggest for medical management first.
You should consult gynecologist for proper evaluation.

Get well soon.
Take Care
