Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i just got my pap smear test result back and i have atypical cells, does this mean i have genital warts? i have been having constant reoccurring what seems to be yeast infections for the past year. could this just be genital warts? now i have a faint smell to my vagina, and discharge comes out on my partners penis.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Atypical pap smear is commonly seen with infection and early cervical cancer. Your other symptoms like foul smell from vagina, discharge from your partner's panis etc are more suggestive of infection. So better to consult gynecologist and get done cervical biopsy and microscopic examination of discharge to identify the cause. Avoid unprotected Intercourse. Avoid perspiration and moisture in private parts. Keep proper hygiene of private parts. Wash genital area with warm water and betadine. Yoi will also need antibiotic and other supportive drugs. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
