Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Purified protein derivative (PPD) skin test is a test that determines if you suffer from tuberculosis (TB). The skin test reaction should be read between 48 and 72 hours after administration. The reaction should be measured in millimeters of the induration. An induration of 15 or more millimeters is considered positive in any person, including persons with no known risk factors for TB. Hence, you need to be further investigated by means of clinical examination and other tests to confirm about the status of tuberculosis disease. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
