What Does This PET Scan Result Indicate?

following PET exam - squamous cell ca was determined after a biopsy of lymph glands on the left side of my neck. No primary site has been determined. I have seen an oncologist and will see an ENT MD on Monday to determine if a possibility of head and neck could be involved. I had pneumonia 2 yrs ago with an infiltrate that has cleared. An 2 cm & 1.8 cm remains in my lung but did not identify during the PET exam. Is it unusual to have ca in lymph glands without a primay site?

HI
Lymphoma is a cancer specifically of the lymph nodes without any other primary site so most likely that's your diagnosis here
