What Does This MRI Test Result For Brain Indicate?

My father s Impression MRI brain shows. Acute non hemorrhagic infarcts involving left cingulate gyrus parasigital frontal cortex and Centrum semiovale multiple CSF intensity area of gliosis seen in bilateral gangliocapsular region as sequelae to old infarcts. What should i do?

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

That MRI speaks of ischemic stroke, damage to a brain area due to blood flow being stopped as a blood vessel is occluded and no body part can survive for more than some hours without blood.

Now stroke is a medical emergency, so any acute stroke should be admitted to a hospital. I am afraid that after the first hours there is no treatment to reverse the damage, the area is already damaged.
However being admitted in a hospital, in a stroke unit or neurology department is essential for several reasons. First in order to prevent complications like infections, aspiration etc. Second to start physical therapy in order to regain function. Third to have tests to find the cause of the stroke in order to take preventive treatment so that other strokes in the future are avoided. Preventive treatment is with a blood thinner, but the type of the blood thinner depends on the origin, whether from a heart arhythmia, vessel atherosclerosis, or other more rare causes.
