Hello, I am 67 year old woman and had meniscus surgery 6 months ago. I also have osteoarthritis. Have had cortisone and gel shots and also had physical therapy. I am still in a lot of pain. MRI conclusion is complex tear involving the anterior horn lateral meniscus, additional tear involving the posterior meniscal root of the lateral meniscus. Also focal chondral defect involving the patellar apex and medial patellar facet and moderate joint effusion with popliteal cyst. What does that mean and what can be done for it.
Findings may indicate complex meniscal tear along with degenerative changes. Patient may need clinical evaluation. Patient may need surgical intervention.
