General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The various types and extent of ligament injury present in vivid clinical perspectives. The mild to moderate amount of ligament insult do heal over a period of time with conservative measures. Those are the surgical candidates in whom:
- No response to conservative measures
- Concern with more precision of anatomy reconstruction and alignment
- Severe extent of anatomic disturbances from the day of injury
- Inadequate results from current therapy

However, an adequate trial of anti inflammatory medications with assisted physiotherapy with expert physiotherapist are must before concluding surgical decision.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
