I was hoping to get help reading my MRI. EXAM: MRI LUMBAR SPINE WITHOUT IV CONTRAST CLINICAL INDICATION: M54.41 (Lumbago with sciatica, right side) . Recent fall with bilateral lower extremity numbness. TECHNIQUE: Multiplanar, multisequence MR imaging of the lumbar spine without IV contrast. COMPARISON: 1/1/2012 FINDINGS: Assuming normal segmentation, there are five lumbar type vertebra with S1 completely incorporated in the sacrum. There is mild levocurvature of the lumbar spine. Otherwise, lumbar spinal alignment is normal. Lumbar vertebral body heights are intact and normal. Marrow signal is slightly decreased in intensity suggestive of marrow reconversion/hematopoietic marrow. Small T1 and T2 hyperintense lesions in L1 and L5 are consistent with benign hemangiomas and unchanged. No aggressive marrow lesion or significant marrow edema is demonstrated. Conus medullaris terminates normally at the inferior aspect of L1. Signal intensity in the distal cord and conus medullaris is normal. The cauda equina is normal. T12-L1: Normal. L1-L2: Normal. L2-L3: Normal. L3-L4: Normal. L4-L5: Mild facet hypertrophy and mild ligamentum flavum redundancy without significant spinal canal or neural foraminal stenosis. L5-S1: Mild facet hypertrophy without significant spinal canal or neural foraminal stenosis. Impression Mild lower lumbar spondylosis without spinal canal or neural foraminal stenosis.
