What Does This MRI Report Of Brain Mean?

What does this mean??? Technique: Multiplanar multi-sequential images of the brain were obtained without contrast. Result: The brain is normally formed. There is no abnormal diffusion restriction to suggest an acute infarction and no abnormal gradient susceptibility is identified. There are nonspecific punctate foci of T2/flair signal abnormality seen within the bilateral frontal lobes. No mass-effect or midline shift is seen. No extra-axial fluid collections. The ventricles are stable in size and configuration without hydrocephalus. Expected intracranial flow voids are demonstrated. The visualized paranasal sinuses including the mastoid air cells are clear.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Can you mention your symptoms and why a scanning was ordered?

The report is normal, except for a minor and non specific points of signal abnormality in font part of brain. Most likely, this is not significant, and need not be worried, but we have to correlate with your symptoms. Your doctor will discuss in detail.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
