Hello

MRI findings indicate degenerative changes in lumbo-sacral spine.
Degenerative changes are generally age related findings. It is due to chronic stress on annulus fibrosis.
At L5-S1 level, there are degenerative changes in inter-vertebral disc with prolapse of inter-vertebral disc in left side (para central region)which is causing compression of thecal sac and left lateral neural foramen. It is also compressing exiting left nerve roots.

At L4-5 level, there is mild diffuse disc bulge with annular tear in posterior region. It is also causing mild thecal indentation and mild encroachment upon bilateral neural foramen.

Majority of degenerative disc disease patients are benefited by conservative treatment in the form of physiotherapy, analgesics and muscle relaxants.
Surgery should be the last option.

Treatment can be planned after consultation with neurologist.

Get well soon.
Take Care
