What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

Hi can you advise what the fidings on MRI means with treatment/recovery. 1.     MRI findings compatible acute rupture of the mid substance of the anterior talofibular ligament and grade II sprain of the calcaneofibular ligament, with crushing of the deep fibres of the deltoid ligament. No osteochondral lesion of the talar dome or tibial plafond. 2.     Intact syndesmotic ligaments.

Hello,

The MRI findings show rupture of the ligaments in the ankle joint leading to sprain. Sprain is managed by three week immobilization in cast and by pain killers to relieve the pain. I suggest you to consult your orthopedician for clinical assessment and thus management.
