What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

Just had an MRI this am, these are the findings. I have constant lower back pain and numbness and tingling in my right foot. What does this mean? Anatomic alignment. No fractures. Degenerative changes noted at L5-S1. Sacroiliac joints appear unremarkaable.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,
I have read your query carefully.
Your MRI reports indicate that the 5th lumber & 1st sacral vertebra /Inter vertebral disc shows degenerative changes( due to age, trauma, over use) & it is causing pressure on the nerve roots that emerge out the gap between L5-S1 vertebrae.
This pressure affects the part supplied by the compressed nerve fibers.
In your case -
-The sensory nerve supply of the affected part is compressed.
- There is no abnormality note in sachroiliac joint.
*This means your constant low back pain needs supporting medications like calcium/vitamin D & physical exercises to support the deficit caused by degeneration.
Consult an orthopedic specialist /physiotherapist
Thanks.
