Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Yesterday I had a CT abdomen/pelvis w/ contrast done to check for lower back injuries. They found a lobulated mass in the right middle lobe abutting the pleura anteriorly and medially. After it s says there is dependent atelectasis bilaterally. What does this mean?
Welcome at HCM I appreciate your health concerns It means that there is a mass present in the middle of right lung. Due to this mass, the lung below is collapsed and there is no air going into that segment. Plz consult cardio thoracic surgeon for it. Regards Dr Saad Sultan
