Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
CT scan states the following: Right Superior pole 6mm cortical cyst is nited. Right inferior pole posterior cortical 6mm cyst noted. Small left mod pole posterolateral exophytic 5×9mm cyst is present. No additional renal cyst or mass is noted bilaterally. No hydronephrosis is seen bilaterally. Bulateral collecting systems and uterers are normal in caliber without filling defect. Bo bladder defect seen. No adder wall thickening. The reason for the test is because I passed a lot of blood in my urine and it was quite painful. A week later blood is still showing in my urinalysis 10-15ugl. Does this warrant surgery?
It shows multiple renal cysts in both your kidneys. In normal circumstances its managed conservatively. However, for the management of severe pain, hypertension, hematuria, or infection, surgical excision may be preferred.
