Hi Dr. Rynne, Am helping a friend who had a CBC test this morning. Her test results: HEMATOLOGY Complete Blood Count STAT White Blood Cells 8.1 10^9/L 4.00~10.50 Red Blood Cells 4.62 10^12/L 4.20~5.40 Hemoglobin 138 g/L 125~160 Hematocrit 0.41 0.37~0.47 Mean Corpuscular Volume 89 fL 78~100 Mean Corpuscular Hb 30 pg 27~31 Mean Corpuscular Hb Conc. 0.34 0.32~0.36 RBC Distribution Width 12.6 % 11.0~16.0 Platelet Count 208 10^9/L 150~450 Differential Count Segmenters 48.6 % 50.0~70.0 Lymphocytes 40.9 % 18.0~42.0 Monocytes 7.4 % 2.0~11.0 Eosinophils 2.7 % 0.0~6.0 Basophils 0.4 % 0.0~2.0 NRBC# 0.0 % NRBC% 0.0 % Her segmenters count seem low. Would appreciate if you can interpret. Does she have a viral infection? She is a 19 yrs old, female.

This is absolutely normal blood report. If she has any symptoms of fever or any other infection treat her accordingly.
