What Does These Pelvis Ultrasound And Transvaginal Reports Mean?

After having a pelvis ultrasound transabdominal and transvaginal, it was found that there a numerous fibroids and there are multiple mixed echogenicity myometrial lesions with sonographic features of fibroids. The largest lesion is partially exophytic from the anterior uterine body. There are some intramural fibroids in the posterior uterine body. It shows a cervical nabothian cysts and it also shows that there is a small amount of pelvic free fluid. What does this all mean?

Hi,

The USG scans from both the views show multiple fibroids with a nabothian cyst near cervix (which is mostly non symptomatic). Free fluid in pouch of Douglas is mainly a times insignificant / post ovulatory / sign of pelvic inflammation. Your treating doctor (knowing your health) would be in better to judge it's inference in your case.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
