Welcome to health care magic.

1.The report suggests that there is dilated pelvis and calyx, which means the junction where there ureters connected to the kidneys are seen dilated.
2.The dilatation could be due to any obstruction in the path way to bladder in the ureter.
3.It was not seen on the x-ray, some times stones measuring less that 8mm or consistency of the stone they are not seen in the x-ray.
4.In this case the IVP will be helpful in detection of the point of the obstruction - as there will be contrast / die used.
5.For definitive diagnosis CT KUB will be helpful, but more of radiation.

Good luck.
