What Does The Report Say?

sir recently my mother had an ultrasound which reports as.......ENDOMETRIUM IS PROMINENT(12.9MM)-?DUB....AND TWO HYPOECHOIC SOL 2.0*1.9C.M. & 2.8*1.7C.M. IS SEEN AT FUNDUS AND POSTERIOR.....AND ALSO A NIBOTHIAN CYST IS SEEN IN CERVIX........sir i wanted to know whether it is dangerous and is their possibility of treating it only by medicines without any surgery

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

There are two small fibroids in the uterus. By size they are small and not dangerous. You may consult your gynecologist and take medicines for 3 months or 6 months and repeat the ultrasound scan. There is however increase in the uterus lining thickness. This may require an endometrial biopsy if there is continuous uterine bleeding. The nabothian follicle is a small structure which has no significance.
