What Does The Report Say?
High respiratory rate--48--but good oxygen levels. Pt. is 79 with congestive heart failure, intestinal AVM's, poor circulation, arthersclerosis and history of alcohol abuse and was a heavy smoker. Obviously very complicated, but can you explain the good ox sats?

According to the reports patient is having congestive heart failure(CHF).
Congestive heart failure (CHF) occurs when the heart is unable to provide sufficient pump action to maintain blood flow to meet the needs of the body.
There are many causes of CHF like myocardial infarction,valvular heart disease,hypertension etc.
There are intestinal AVM's means arterio-venous malformation.
Athersclerosis is age related changes in blood vessels.
