What Does The Presence Of Squamous Epithelial Cells In Urine Indicate?

My urinalysis results are as follows Color-pale Transparency-hazy Reaction-6.0 acidic Specific gravity 1.005 Pus cells-2-4 RBC-2-4 Squamous epithelial cells-many What does it mean Doc?Does it indicates any signs of infection? Thank you very much! Tash.

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Increase squamous epithelial cells could be due to irritation in the urinary tract due to stones or inflammation.
2. As there are no increase in pus cells, it could be secondary to possible stones, which might have already passed through.
3. No, there is no sign of any infection.
4. No further evaluation is necessary. If, in future, if there is hematuria or abdominal pain, then further evaluation could be helpful. Not to worry.
