General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Since the latest report has come as no growth of bacteria, it means that the infection has been cured by intake of appropriate antibiotics.
Pus cells of 18 to 22/HPF should not much of a worry as he is asymptomatic. However, it would be advisable to consume citrus fruit juices and multivitamin capsules, which would help the affected mucosal tissues to be back to normal at a early stage.

As he is diabetic, his blood glucose should be strictly maintained, as increased glucose levels is a risk of infection and further delays wound healing.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
