Hello,

Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have been detected to a solitary renal cyst on Ultrasound Scanning.

Renal Cyst is congenital in origin and present from birth. They are usually detected accidently on ultrasound scanning done for some other reason.

These are a benign cyst and do not require any treatment unless it gets infected or suddenly increase in size. Please do not worry at all.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
