What Does The Following Test Result Mean?

what does this all mean The cervical spine was imaged using various echo sequences in the sagittal and axial planes without the use of intravenous contrast. There are postoperative changes with anterior fixation plate and screws at the C4, C5, C6 and C7 levels. There is slight reversal of the normal cervical lordotic curvature centered at the C3-C4 level. There is moderate disc space narrowing at the C3-C4 level with small marginal osteophyte formation anteriorly. The C2-C3 and C7-T1 disc space heights are fairly well-maintained.The cervical vertebral bodies otherwise have normal anatomic height and alignment with normal signal and morphology on all imaging sequences. The pedicles are intact. The posterior elements are normal. The clivus is normal. Empty pituitary fossa. The craniocervical junction is normal. The cervical cord is normal. At the C2-C3 level, there is no central spinal canal stenosis or neuroforaminal narrowing. At the C3-C4 level, there is diffuse broad-based disc bulge which lateralizes towards the left. Moderate concentric narrowing of thecal sac more predominant on the left as well as moderate flattening the central cord more predominant on the left. There is moderate bilateral neuroforaminal narrowing left greater right. At the C4-C5 level, there is no central spinal canal stenosis or neuroforaminal narrowing. At the C5-C6 level, there is no central spinal canal stenosis. Mild left neuroforaminal narrowing. At the C6-C7 level, there is no central spinal canal stenosis or neuroforaminal narrowing. At the C7-T1 level, there is no central spinal canal stenosis or neuroforaminal narrowing. At the T1-T2 level, there is no central spinal canal stenosis or neuroforaminal narrowing. There are no paraspinal masses. There is no signal abnormality on the STIR images to suggest acute bony injury.

Hello

MRI findings suggests degenerative disc disease of lumbar spine. It is indicated due to presence of osteophytes, loss of normal cervical curve and disc space narrowing.
Osteophytes are formed due to chronic stress on annulus fibrosis.

At C3-4 level, there is slight reversal of the normal cervical lordotic curvature.
There is also moderate disc space narrowing and osteophytes formation.

Majority of the cases of degenerative spine disease are benefited by physiotherapy and analgesics.Since you have mild findings,so you should try physiotherapy first.

Treatment can be planned after consultation with neurologist.

Get well soon.
Take Care
