Good evening dear doctors here are the results of my son 3 year old, I desire to know your opinion, especially the rate of platelet and of advance monocyte.merci GB11.3 GR 4.64 HB 12.4 HC T37 PLA 453 PN 46% E 0.3% B 00% L% 41% 19 CELL mononucleosis M 00 SERUM IRON 0,52mg / l SALLUTATIONS
Some of those acronyms (GB and GR) are not usual for English, I am assuming they are in Italian. Regarding the platelet count it depends also from the reference values in your laboratory, usually values of 453 x 10³ are only very, very mildly raised (for a norm of 450) and I wouldn't put much weight in them unless there are some distinct signs for blood diseases. The red cells count looks normal, as for the white cell count it is again of a mild elevation, it's not a specific sign any infection could cause that, considering a mildly higher percentage of lymphocytes a viral one (but again reference range differs between laboratories and depends on clinical signs). Monocytes at 0% is lower then usual but usually is of no significance, it's high values which worry us. So I wouldn't worry much about those tests themselves, the most they could indicate is some viral infection.
I hope to have been of help.

What Does The Following Test Result Indicate?
