What Does The Following Chest X-ray Report Indicate?

Hi received by chest X-ray back and it indicates 1cm linear stele tasks versus scarring in the right upper lobe laterally between the 5th & 6th posterior ribs and also a 5mm subtle nodule density. Heart is normal in size. Pulmonary vessels are distinct. Ossetia structures and soft tissues are normal. No pneumothorax or pleural effusions. No acute cardiopulmonary process. My concern is they had me do a CT scan for that 5mm nodule. I had scan done and now they are having me see a pulmonary specialist. What is the next step when seeing this specialist? Are they thinking lung cancer, biopsy? Getting anxiety here!

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, you have not mentioned any clinical history here in absence of this it become difficult to suggest anything still if this is some kind of lesion found in lungs then it need to be confirmed the diagnosis and for that all the possible and necessary test could be possibly carried out including biopsy, hope this information helps, take care have a nice day.
