Welcome to Health care magic.
1.The findings in the x-ray suggests there is scaring in the right middle lobe - which could be due to old healed infective process.
2.The previous
chest infection usually leaves trace after healing as
fibrosis, scarring, thickening, calcification.
3.Atelectatic changes are seen in case of presence of partial collapse of the lung.
4.But there is no active infection mentioned about in the present x-ray.
5.Probably doctor have given medication and want to see the changes - weather its an infection or old process.
6.In this case i would recommend
HRCT - high resolution computer topography for better and accurate diagnosis. Good luck.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
