What Does The Following Cardiolite Lexiscan Stress Test Report Mean?

My findings on a 1 day Cardiolite Lexiscan Stress test is: Image quality is excellent. There is no evidence for reversible perfusion defects. There is a moderately large fixed apical defect. Polar map analysis confirms the absence of reversible perfusion defects. LV chamber size is normal. LVEF determined approximately 40 minutes following Lexiscan infusion is 69%. Visual analysis reveals apical hypokinesis with reduced all thickening. Impression: No evidence for Lexiscan indused reversible ischemia. Normal LVEF of 69% with apical wall motion abnormality. Normal LV chamber size. Apical scar. What is your thoughts on the results?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As there is apical scar in the scan that suggests the previously insulted tissue has got healed with scar formation. This is the usual instance when patient has gone through myocardial infarction, got proper treatment and now the scan is taken during recovered phase. However, current symptoms, physical findings help best extent to co relate the facts on clinical grounds as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
