General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there I have read through your question and would like to tell you that your husband s triglyceride and cholesterol levels are very high. The equation which is used to calculate LDL is no longer valid when triglyceride is very high hence cannot be calculated. He has to follow dietary restrictions like avoidance of saturated fats like butter, ghee and processed foods. He should maintain a strict exercise regime. In addition to lifestyle changes he should continue taking simvastatin as advised by his physician. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
