What Does The Following Blood Test Report Suggest?
hello. I recently had blood work done at a private lab. I had a few concerns with some numbers. my cholesterol (total) was 124. comprehensive metabolic panel came back in the normal ranges except AST-46 and ALT-82 cbc test- hematocrit level 50.4 and mpv were 7.4 cortisol am test- 9am cortisol levels were 27.5 do any of these numbers cause concern. I am a competitive bodybuilder so my diet is very clean and I weight train daily.
Based on the history you have shared, though the majority of these readings are almost normal for rising ALT limit alcohol, get ultrasoundliver to rule out fatty infiltration and get viral serology done for reassurance. Also, drinking more water to keep hematocrit below 50 is better.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
