What Does The Following Blood Test Report Indicate?

i am 32 year old female. i did a blood test and my overall cholesterol came back as 194. the break down is ; 69-HDL 90-LDL 179 Triglycerides My question is, would fasting for only 8 hours affect my triglycerides number and should i be concerned that it s borderline high. It doesn t make much sense to me that my other levels are so great but the triglycerides are high. also my glucose is 93mg/dL FBS

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

Triglycerides are the first to rise and so I do not think you should be so alarmed with the high triglyceride levels, although I would recommend you take this as an early warning and make slight changes to your lifestyle to prevent further rise in all parameters.

Best wishes.
