since your mother is a breast cancer survivor, there is always a high level of suspicion for disease recurrence. the disease spread to lungs appears as rounded or irregular, small or large densities. so any shadowing or density in lungs may or may not represent a recurrent disease. i suggest HRCT of chest should be done to be make sure if there is any recurrence.
