What Does The Following X-ray Report Suggest?

I fell and hurt my left wrist. The x-ray finding indicate the following: Likely, nondisplaced acute fracture of the distal radial metaphysis joint that does not enter the radiocarpal joint. I am confused by the word likely. Was it used because the fracture has not been seen on the x-rays? It s hair-thin fracture? Thanks.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
HI DEAR DOCTOR MUST HAVE WRITTEN FRACTURE OF DISTAL RADIUS METAPHYSIS. THERE IS NOTHING METAPHYSIS JOINT. THIS TERM WAS USED DUE TO LOCATION OF YOUR FRACTURE. METAPHYSIS REGION HEALS VERY WELL. IT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO TELL WHETHER IT WAS HAIRLINE WITHOUT LOOKING AT X RAY. BUT CERTAINLY POP WILL BE SUFFICE IF PURE METAPHYEAL UNDISPLACED FRACTURE BUT NOW,DAYS WE ARE favoring surgery due to better outcome.
