Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i undergo xray earlier. and I got the result now it says that there are fibrohazed infiltrates in the right apex. heart is not enlarged. aorta is unremarkable. Hemidiaphragms, costophrent sulci and visualized osseous structures are intact. Impression: PTB, RIGHT APEX.
Hello. Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic! I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
As per your X-ray report you have fibrosing(scarring) lesion over the apex of your right lung. It generally indicates an old and healed tuberculosis in the past. It does not signify any active disease and thus no treatment is required in majority of cases. All other findings are normal and no other lung conditions are detected in the film. As of now no treatment is needed and you don't need to worry regarding this. I suggest you to consult a pulmonologist and get a sputum examination done to rule out any active tuberculosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Wishing you good health.
Regards. Dr.Shinas Hussain
