Hi, I have a couple of scans and an MRI test I d like deciphered into layman terms. Do I need to seek additional tests? 1. There is straightening of the cervical lordosis with slight focal kyphosis at C4-C5. There is multilevel cervical spondylosis with uncovertebral spurring and facet arthropathy. Findings are most notable at C4-C5 and C5-C6 where there is at least mild spinal canal narrowing and moderate to severe bony foraminal narrowing. Fusion of the C7-T1 vertebral bodies is present 2. Multiple foci of abnormal bright T2 and FLAIR signal intensity are nonspecific, however abnormal for age (I m 47)
Hi! Welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, it is indicative of cervical spondylosis as well as osteoporotic and age related wear and tear changes presenting earlier than the age of onset. Bone scan and T score estimation should be done.
Postural support with neck collar or physiotherapy for supporting muscles strengthening as well as neurosurgical or orthopedician review or spine surgeon consultation, should be done.
Meanwhile supplements for calcium D3 osien mineral complexes may be needed. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Regards
