What Does The Following MRI Report Suggest?

Hi mri report showing i have l5s1 focal left paracentral disc protrusion causing stenosis of the left s1 lateral recess ive been in constant pain for 3 months i have tried pain relief, physical therapy and hydro therapy with no results have been referred to specialist who mentioned surgery? Im 26 of age and it was an injury at work caused by heavy lifting.

Hi,

Disc prolapse causing stenosis is common. Many times it resolves itself with physiotherapy. However, sometimes it may not resolve with drugs and physiotherapy was then we need to go for surgery. So same is your case if your pain is not controlled with all these things, then I think it's better to go for surgery.
