Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had an MRI and they report stated there is a 8.4 mm ectasia of the left optic nerve sheet and minimal tiny focal juxtacortical and subcortical T2/FLAIR white matter bright foci are identified in the bilateral left temporal lobe cortices of uncertain etiology or significance. The basilar cisterns are patent. Major vascular flow voids appear grossly patent. What does that mean.
There is some deformity in your optic nerve. If you don’t have any symptom like decreased vision, nothing much to worry and we can manage conservatively. You can consult a neurosurgeon for expert opinion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
