Hi,

It means the cartilage which is situated in the medial portion of femur bone lower end has degenerated.

The fluid present in very little quantity in joint space means swelling. Again if there are swelling and inflammation at the junction of anterior cruciate ligament, then some degeneration of kneejoint is present.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
