What Does The Following MRI Report Suggest?

Can you please give this to me in lamens terms. There is severe straightening of the cervical lordosis in keeping with intense muscle spasm. There are Marked uncovertebral joint degenerative changes and prominent disc osteophyte complex demonstrated particularly at C5-6 and particularly at C6-7 causing severe narrowing of the neural foramina. With changes of the C6 nerve root irritation and almost certainly impinging on the right C7 nerve root. The c8 nerve root appear to exit unimpeded however. There is also mild Central canal narrowing at these disc levels with flattening of the anterior thecal sac however there is no convincing evidence of myelomalacia or syrinx formation of the cervical cord which otherwise maintains a normal homogeneous appearance. Normal T1 marrow signal. No destructive bony lesion. Posterior fossa of the brain is unremarkable. Connclusion: degenerative changes of the uncovertebral joints as described have the potential to irritate the right C6 nerve root that is almost certainly impinging the existing right C7 nerve root likely accounting for the patient’s symptoms. Marked loss of the normal cervical lordosis is highly suggestive of intense muscle spasm. I m only 40 years old and the doctor said cortisone injections would offer little to no relief as well as the area being to close to major arteries and the spunal cord. An appointment with a neurosurgeon is my next option otherwise just cover the pain with drugs, and I don’t want to risk addiction as well as not feling if it my condition is worsening.
