What Does The Following MRI Report Indicate?

I am looking at my daughter's MRI report on her knee and trying to figure it out. Under IMPRESSION: it has nondisplaced subchondral/trabecular microfracture in the posterior nonweightbearing lateral femoral condyle with moderate range surrounding bone marrow edema. No overlying chondral defect identified. Is any of this serious?

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The report suggests there is a un-displaced fracture micro fracture in the posterior aspect of the femoral condyle.
2.The bone marrow shows features of oedema due to the fracture - local inflammatory changes post trauma.
3.All adjacent structures appears normal, as mentioned in the report.
4.There is nothing serious in this case - but it needs immobility and bandaid to keep the fracture fragment intact and better healing.
5.Suggest good rest and followup x-ray to monitor the status.

Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query,
any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask.
