What Does The Following MRI Report Incident?

Hi doctor, I have chondromalacia patella in left knee for 9 months. I have done MRI 6 months ago and it was diagnosed I /II grade chondromalacia. I have done excercises under physiotherapist along with medicines but things didn t improve much. I am feeling severe grinding sound and pain during steping ladder. Can arthroscopy solve the problem ?and is it long lasting? I have changed the Orthopedic now. He said chondromalacia heals itself sometimes with proper quadriceps excercises. Please suggest me that should I wait or go for orthoscopy?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

In most of the cases, it will improve with conservative management. If symptoms persist you can go for arthroscopic correction.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
