What Does The Following HSG Result Indicate?

I just collected my HSG result and states that the cervical canal is normal in calibre and outline, the uterine cavity is normal in size, shape and outlined but retroverted. The two Fallopian tubes are not visualized and show no spill of contrast into peritoneal cavity, some intra vasation of contrast is noted on the right side.

Welcome to health care magic.

1.Hysterosalingogram is done to check for the uterine status, fallopian tube, cervical canal.
2.In your case uterus is retroverted - which is one of the normal variation of lie, title posteriorly in relation to the the urinary bladder.
3.Non visualisation of the tubes indicate there is tubal block - which could be due to previous infection / inflammation.
4.Contrast seen entering in to the veins - intra-vasation of contrast is seen.
5.Needs further evaluation and treatment, probably re-cannalization if you planning to conceive. Good luck.

Hope i have answered your query.
