What Does The Chest X Ray With Purple Center And Yellow Border Indicate?

My mom had a chest x-Ray and a stress test done today. The doctor showed her a normal heart with an orange center with yellow surrounding it. Hers showed a purple center with yellow surrounding it. What does the color difference mean. She is now scheduled for a heart catheterization.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The colors scan is a Doppler scan.
The colors indicate the blood supply of particular area of the heart.
During a stress test, the blood supply to heart muscle during increased demand of heart muscle is assessed.
Compromise in blood supply during stress is suggestive of ischemic heart disease.
The purple color instead of orange color indicates that there is blood supply compromise.
This is a positive stress test and an indication for further cauterization as suggested by your doctor.

Thanks and take care
