I am 37 years odl, 1.3m tall and weigh 60kg.I was diagnosed with HIV in April this year. I went for a cd4 count four times so they can establish my cd4 levels, and on all 4 occassions, the result is coming out blank. What does this mean and what should i do?
In an immuno-competent persons CD4 cell count anything between 750-1500/cmm . In HIV patients this drops and when it drops below 200 count , then the condition is called AIDS .Your zero CD4 cell means that the you have severe degree of immuno-suppression and you need ART (Anti retro viral therapy) --medicines for AIDS treatment. I suggest you visit to a ART centre where you will tested once more and then ART should be started . Hope this helps.
