Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does The Abdominal Ultrasound Report Indicate?
Hello Sir, ...was having pain in right side, consulted our regular physician he suggested for USG whole abdomen, report shows.. Right Kidney - Mild dilatation of PCS & proximal ureter noted Left kidney - Calculi of 4mm noted in middle & lower calyces IMPRESSION: 1.RIGHT MILD HYDROURETERONEPHROSIS-? URETERIC CALCULUS. 2. LEFT RENAL CALCULI (NON OBSTRUCTIVE)
That report mean that you have mild dilatation of you right kidney and starting part of the ureter ie. The tube connecting your kidney and the urinary bladder. It might occur due to presence of a stone in the ureter which causes obstruction to urine flow from right kidney to bladder. Which is causing hydrouretronephrosis due to back flow and is the reason of pain. I would suggest to show to the physician or get a CAT scan to find out the exact reason for the obstruction as in USG report right side report is suspected calculi. So you need to confirm it and treat it. Left side also there is a stone but for now its not causing any obstruction to urine flow so nothing to worry about it.
