What Does The MRI Report Indicate?

I have full thickness tear of supraspinatous tendon which retract to superior glenoid. Few intact remnants if infraspinatus tendon with fatty atrophy of the muscle. Moderate tendinopathy of subscapularis tendon, prominent tendinopathy of intra-articular course of the long head of the biceps tendon and degenertive superior and anterior labral fraying without displaced labral fragment.partial degenertive ossification of posterior labrum. Is there a possibility this can be repaired with a shoulder joint replacement. This is in both the right and left shoulders MRI confirmed.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You report definitely indicates a significant rotator cuff tear of your shoulders. Your ortho who has examined you will be in a better position to recommend treatment. It is possible that arthroscopic repair of the rotator cuff is adequate to help with your condition. You do not need a joint replacement for this. Again, I would be able to give a better recommendation if I was able to examine you and see the imaging films.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
