Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

There are small spongy discs between the small bones in the neck spine. These discs should be aligned in a normal fashion to allow various movements in the spine and also provide cushioning. In your neck the discs at many levels C 3 - C 4, C 4 - C 5, C 5 - C 6 and C 6 - C 7 are bulged backwards and this might be due to degeneration. The osteophytes are degenerative changes in the vertebrae.

The discs mentioned are slightly displaced causing mild pressure on the covering of the spinal cord backwards with no compression on the spinal cord or the nerve root.

You may try doing physiotherapy and avoid lifting heavy weights. This problem will not heal completely but if you take precautions, the progress of the problem will be slow and you will still be able to continue with your daily activities without much troubles.
