What Does The EKG Test Result Indicate?

i had an ekg last week and it showed lt axis deviation and inferior myocardial infarction. My doctor has been unavailable for the entire week. So I have not been able to discuss this further with him needless to say I am changing doctors. I am very worried about this and wonder how serious of a condition this is. I was scheduled for a stress test but my insurance company did not approve the test.

Hello and welcome..
Inferior wall MI with right axis deviation...
Let me explain to you.
It means that your inferior wall of the heart has become infarcted(dead) due to disruption of blood supply to that area due to clot...
If you present to the hospital within 12 hrs then they do PCI(placing stent in blocked artery) or give streptokinase(a clot dissolving drug) then the arterial supply to that could be reversed.
But if you present to the hospital after 12 hrs then the effected will be dead.
Now you have to do a stress test to check the viablity of the effected area ..after the test they will decide wether to do PCI or not.

Hope you'd understand.
See toy in good health.
Bye..
