hi iam 50 year old female i had bleeding for 2 months which has since stopped. had ct of abdomen and pelvis. it said ovoid hypoechoic structure in the left adnexa suggestive of left adnexal cyst or exophytic fibroid. it measure 3.5 x 2.7. has grown from 20.9 mm
In your CT scan report there is mention of a well defined benign structure in the ligaments attached to left ovary. It presently measures about 3.5 x 2.7 cms and can be either a fibroid which is externally visualized and called exophytic a else this can be a cyst arising from the ligaments. If your uterine bleeding is continuously disturbed then a surgical recourse might be considered. However there is still time for a surgical treatment and at the present size we can still wait and watch. The comparison with earlier size of 2 cms show that it is growing and I will suggest another ultrasound scan after 3 months to assess the size.
