Hello and welcome to HCM,
Clinical assessment of the lip is required to assess whether there is swelling of lip or there is swelling of vein.
Trauma to the lip while cleaning teeth can be the cause of swelling of the lip.
In case there is injury or bleeding, you need to consult your primary healthcare provider for management.
Allergy is also known to cause swelling of lips.
Do you have any history of allergy or trauma?
If yes, then that is the probable cause of swelling.

Thanks and take care
